- 17:57:32: @Hedgewytch Why, because it has an H?
- 18:25:42: @Hedgewytch Very curious as to how you pronounce hour, heir, honour, and honest then. :-)
- 18:38:56: @Hedgewytch Well, they all have romance-language roots, so it's probably more a question of why the H isn't silent in UK English.
- 18:39:28: @Hedgewytch But yes, we pronounce those as you do.
- 19:12:02: @Hedgewytch Apparently up until the 1800s, you pronounced it as 'erb' too. Then there was a rise in pronouncing things as spelled in UK.
- 19:13:17: @Hedgewytch Along with a class stigma associated with dropping the H in words. US didn't have this so kept the original pronunciation.
- 19:13:34: @Moultyx YAY!
- 19:24:39: @Hedgewytch (In short, US didn't drop the H. The UK added it.) :-)
- 19:29:04: We took Twiglet to get her teeth clipped. She did not appreciate it at the time but better than teeth growing up into her brain, right?

- 01:19:07: @starsaradia The thought just occurred: can you bring me a bottle of Aleve?
- 01:22:51: @starsaradia Thank you! I don't know what varieties exist. We can't really get it here. They sell it for cramps, like £4 for 24 pills.
- 01:44:49: @victoriachan A person who doesn't label the food in the freezer! :-)
- 01:47:30: @starsaradia I'm sure I can find out online. :-)
- 02:12:58: @rataccessories @freerangerats Ours generally enjoy playing in water now and again, so the rare need for baths hasn't gone too badly!
- 03:32:03: @rataccessories Ours like that too bur will splash around a bit without the peas (or sweetcorn!). Maybe they think they'll find nibbles!
- 03:33:36: @FreeRangeRats @rataccessories Yeah, we use a big plastic bin with a ladder. The water is deep but not so deep that they can't stand.
- 03:49:35: We are sleeping with the window open. I'd forgotten over winter how loud the birds and trains can be. Have to get used to the sounds again.
- 03:56:50: (But in other news, I am horizontal and not coughing. Codeine, you wonderful thing, you.)
- 10:56:04: @Zoe_Chapman @wegrowourown I did my seeds on wet kitchen roll in baggies, kept warm (airing cupboard, top of fridge), checked daily.
- 10:57:54: @Zoe_Chapman @wegrowourown Then planted as soon as sprouted. Some sprouted straight away (peter and anaheim fwiw), others up to 5 weeks.
- 11:04:14: @Zoe_Chapman I put mine in the tv cupboard; media thing stays on standby so it keeps warm. I didn't have much luck without the sealed bag.
- 11:05:45: @ernmander Same here. Did it to get it out of the way before what I thought was just a deadline! But the web thing didn't stop me, so hey.
- 11:07:05: @jonesyaj Yes! Broth, tin of tomatoes, some other veggies, maybe some beans and macaroni noodles. Yum yum yum.
- 11:09:49: @Zoe_Chapman Do it now. Nothing to lose and it's insurance in case the others don't sprout. Which are you sowing?
- 11:13:35: Seedlings under grow lights are doing well. Not too leggy. Mixed salad, marigolds, dwarf toms, peppers, and chilies. http://t.co/MwhhEUd
- 11:20:28: Something has sprouted in a pasilla module that I strongly suspect is a weed. It's certainly not a pepper. I am nurturing it regardless.
- 11:27:50: @Zoe_Chapman I sowed Numex twilight direct ages ago (5 weeks) and no sign. Cover the tray with clingfilm to trap heat?
- 17:27:00: @cateca What are you selling? I'll take a look. Good luck!
- 17:29:13: Can leggy module-sown beetroots be salvaged? Tried to get a head start while got the allotment ready.
- 17:31:21: @cateca Would so be tempted by West Wing if you also had earlier seasons!
- 17:43:03: @cateca Yeah, I love West Wing. Currently rewatching the series now actually but don't have it on DVD.
- 17:54:59: @Rhizowen Oh, that's good. I'll not give up hope then. I wasn't sure I could bury them. Had few leggy things last year in old house.
- 23:25:06: @Christoph_Prime What kind do you need?

- 09:06:48: @Christoph_Prime I'm very rarely on the sofa without a little blanket on me.
- 09:19:08: On the bus, trying not to cough. Tickle in throat. It's maddening.
- 22:59:45: Resowed the leggy brassicas. Sowed new broad beans, sorrel, kin tsai, senposai, mibuna, raab, culantro, and chard. Mostly for the rats!
- 23:22:57: RT @RevoAlone: dude sets off a bomb in a bar in my hometown, bomb squad responds #phoenixville, http://bit.ly/fMFs3P #fb
